The Residence Fundamifp will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a festive day open to all the neighbors of the municipality that will take place on Saturday 25th of March from 11:00 in the Plaza de España, San Javier.
The activity aims to become "a joyful and fun morning to share with our society our anniversary," said Gema Blázquez, a social worker at the center who presented the program with the director Maribel Martínez, in a ceremony attended by the Councilors of Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa, and Health, Catalina Pérez.
The event also had the participation of the director of Carrefour San Javier, Óscar Fernández who contributes a healthy breakfast, the director of the Symphony Orchestra of San Javier, Gregorio González, who will also participate with a concert "very lively", and Alfonso Inglés, of "Green Dwarf" that provides an animation program with inflatables, buzz, ballooning, pintacaras, and cotton candy and popcorn for all attendees.
Estíbaliz Masegosa noted the close collaboration between the Town Hall and Fundamifp Residence and added that "there is much to celebrate" after the difficulty of the center caused the serious effects of the floods last December.
The mayor Catalina Pérez thanked those responsible for the Residence of Fumdamifp "who have thought of celebrating their anniversary in the center of San Javier with all the neighbors," which encouraged them to join the planned events.
Facing the basement flood that suffered the Residenica Fundamifp has been the last difficulty but not the first that has had to overcome the center in the last 25 years.
Its director, Maribel Martínez recalled that the Residence was founded in 1992 along with the Pro-Disabled Foundation of the National Police Corps who set out to find a vacation spot in Spain when he decided to buy what had until then been a thalassotherapy center in Santiago Of the Ribera.
After a few years dedicated to offer services of leisure and free time, "with a lot of work and effort" was managed to contract with the IMAS the management of resident places for people with disabilities beginning in the year 2000 with 23 places until today it arrives at The 39 places residents.
The center also offers a family respite service as well as leisure and leisure services, and occupy up to 60 places available.
