The CEIP "Fulgencio Ruiz" of Santiago de la Ribera now has two new digital slates thanks to the contribution of 4,000 euros made by the laCaixa Foundation to the social project presented by the center's AMPA, aimed especially at supporting children with Hearing difficulties.
The surplus money has been used for the purchase of new ventilation devices with which to improve the air conditioning in the classrooms.
The center today organized an event to thank the financial donation received from the laCaixa Foundation, which was attended by the Director of the Caixa Business Area, Carlos Merelo, the AMPA president, Mariano Jiménez, the general director of Educational Planning and Enrique Ujaldón, the Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Education, Catalina Pérez.
The director of the school, Julia Samper thanked the collaboration of all administrations and especially the director of AMPA, Mariano Jimenez who reiterated his intention to continue working for the improvement of the center.
The representative of the laCaixa Foundation praised the project presented and also reiterated its intention to continue to bring the Foundation's work closer to local society.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo stressed the importance of the endowment of schools that is where "our children" are formed and thanked "the great involvement that demonstrates every day the Foundation laCaixa with the municipality in various fields."
The regional head of educational planning and human resources took advantage of the event to announce that "if all goes well we will be able to add one more classroom for the next course in Santiago de la Ribera", since, he added, the municipality of San Javier, at Contrary to what happens in the region as a whole, does not suffer from the low birth rate that is reducing the incorporation of children into the classroom.
