The Termiben youth employability program, which develops the Department of Social Services through the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, has hosted a total of 54 young people, of whom 12 obtained a contract in companies during the past year, and four have achieved in This year, according to the Councilor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa, who together with the director of the Foundation, Jesús Salmerón, took stock of the first year of the program that ends on 31 August.

The Terniben program, which is endorsed by the IMAS and the European Social Fund, is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 29, at risk or at risk of exclusion, who are not studying or working.

Jesús Salmerón explained that the objective of the program is to make a diagnosis of the young people who come to face the difficulties of each one, that can be social or personal, to help them to join the labor market.

Young people receive personalized attention in which, in addition to helping them to overcome personal difficulties in obtaining a job, they show them how to make a resume, interview, receive technology notions, and work as a public service or assistant Commerce, among others, while doing internships in companies that in some cases end up in labor contracts.

That was the case of two of the students, Tońi Calderón and Carmen Muńoz who explained how this program has provided them with "security" that they said they did not have when they arrived without studies or work experience.

Both performed internships at the Thalasia hotel where they subsequently obtained a four-month work contract.

Those responsible for the program made an appeal to the companies of the municipality to collaborate in hosting the young participants in this program, as do the collaborating companies Inditex, Aki Bricolage, and Grupo Mnemon, through the hotel Thalasia.

They also encouraged the young people who are within the profile of the program, which also includes the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, to be added by contacting through the Social Services Center (telephone 968 19 97 82) or the Local Development Agency San Javier where the program is located.
