A total of 185 archers, the best of the country, will be held in San Javier the III Spanish Grand Prix of Archery (26/04/2017)

The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the president of the Club Agarco de San Javier, Marisa Gadea and the president of the Archery Federation of the Region of Murcia, Juan José Noguera presented this morning at the San Javier City Council III Great Prize of Spain of Archery that will gather in San Javier to 185 archers coming from all the Spanish autonomous communities the days 29 and 30 of April.

Marisa Gadea explained that the competition, which will take place at the San Javier municipal sports center, will be played with recurring bows that will begin the run on Saturday April 29 at 09:00 and composite bows that will start at 15:00.

On Sunday, April 30, starting at 09:00, the qualifying and final rounds of the championship will begin.

The president of the Regional Archery Federation, Juan José Noguera stressed the importance of this Spanish Grand Prix in which "the best archers of Spain" will seek a gap in the Spanish team "which increases competitiveness and raise the level Of the competition ".

The presence of Murcia, which represents 10 percent of the participants, is increasing in this edition of the Spanish Grand Prix in which Juan José Noguera highlighted the possibilities of regional goalkeeper Ramón López Bermúdez, who has already competed with the national team.

As for San Javier, the Agarco club has the young man of 17 years, in junior, Javier Juaneda Garcia.

The mayor, José Miguel Luengo thanked the commitment to San Javier to celebrate this national event and stressed "the impact that will again have for our municipality the combination of sport and tourism, which we continue to bet from the City as an excellent way of promoting" .

According to the organizers, the competition attracts more than 550 people who have already filled out the accommodations agreed with the organization.

All agreed to invite all the public to attend throughout the two days of shooting to the arena of the sports center to admire the most experienced archers in all of Spain and to know more of a sport with a long tradition in San Javier through Club Agarco, which currently has 41 partners of different ages.
