The 48th Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier offers a rich representation of the current theatrical Spanish (18/05/2017)

Actors such as Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Ernesto Alternio, Adriana Ozores, Carmen Ruiz, Fernando Tejero, Pepón Nieto, María Barranco, Nathalie Poza, or Pablo Derqui, among many others;

Directors of the moment like Andrés Lima, Alfredo Sánzol, Pep Antón, Mario Gas, Carmen Portacceli, Luis Luque or Ramón Fontseré, with the return of Els Joglars, and authors like Eugène Ionesco, Albert Camus, Euripides, and the universe of Plauto, or Of Shakespeare, give brightness to an edition that counts on the Chinese company of contemporary dance Tao Dance Theater, the flamenco-soul of Pitingo and the pair formed by Noa and Pasión Vega.

The Festival was presented at a crowded event held at the Roman Theater in Cartagena with the assistance of the Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the Councilor for Culture and Festival director, David Martinez, artists, Muher, poster authors. 48 edition, sponsoring companies and a wide representation of the regional theater.

The Teatro Romano de Cartagena has been chosen to present this morning the program of the 48th International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier which presents a total of 15 shows, two of street and 13 of hall, among which stand out eight Theater productions, along with two music, a dance, a dance theater, and a family show, from August 2 to 24.

The director of the Festival, David Martínez presented the program to which he will welcome a street show that will flood the waterfront of Santiago de la Ribera on August 2 with "Metaworphosis", a montage based on Ovid's work that includes a Parades of fantastic characters that accompanied by a spectacular band recreate mythological passages as the myth of Arachne, Athena, or the abduction of Europe.

The price of tickets will continue to be popular to facilitate access to the festival, with two free street shows and general prices for theater shows of 14-16 euros, depending on the area, 12 euros for the San Javier Group, and 10 euros for the family show.

The payment that will cost 110 euros for 11 shows, excludes the children's night, and the two musical shows that will have various prices, depending on the seating area, ranging from 20 to 45 euros.

The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo highlighted the "great quality of programming" presented, as well as popular prices and the fact of taking the theater to the street, as it also happens with the Jazz Festival.

Luengo announced the next remodeling of the 32,000-meter park where the "Mar Menor's Cultural Cathedral" is located in reference to the auditorium, venue of the festivals, and noted the importance of continuing to maintain the full municipal management of the Festival.
