The Bolillo will be the protagonist of the next Sunday in La Manga with the celebration of the V Meeting of Encajeras organized by the Bolillo Encajeras Association of La Manga del Mar Menor with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of San Javier.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez and the president of the lace association of La Manga, Loli Martinez presented this morning the event to be held on Sunday, September 17 at the hotel Roc Doblemar from 10h to 13h with the participation of about 150 lacemakers coming from different towns of the Region and other points of Spain.
David Martinez thanked the Association of La Manga for its work to keep this craft craft alive and to make it known through events such as the Encounter next Sunday that will be open to the public and that will have a small market related to the practice of the bolillo.
The La Manga Association of Encajeras has 18 associates who maintain their activity throughout the year.
