Lovers of classic cars have a meeting in San Javier on November 5 in the III Concentration of Classical Vehicles of San Javier that moves from the Plaza of Spain to the Park Almansa to be able to host the growing number of participating vehicles that the past year doubled the number of the first edition, and that this year can reach the 150 vehicles.

The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo presented this morning in the square of Spain, surrounded by old vehicles and accompanied by Marcos David Gracia and Mariano Martínez, representatives of the organizing association "Automóviles Clásicos Mar Menor", and the councilman of Festejos, Pedro López, an event held in memory of Pedro Martínez Saura, a neighbor of San Javier who belonged to the Association until his death.

The day will begin with the last minute registrations starting at 09:00 and a static exhibition of all the participating cars, which must be at least 25 years old, until 12:00 when they will embark on an exit en route to Santiago de la Ribera and return to the park Almansa, where at 14 o'clock the concentration will be finished.

The Association "Classic Cars Mar Menor" has 126 members, most of the Mar Menor region, but has also joined some of the provinces of Alicante and Albacete, lovers of these "jewels on wheels," explains its president Mariano Martinez , with which the last Sundays of each month make routes that take advantage of to visit different places of interest.

The only requirement to enter the association is to have a vehicle over 25 years, minimum period to be considered "classic" of any brand, which makes the Concentration is more attractive since it can be found from a convertible Cadillac, a SEAT 600, or a Ford T of 1912, a copy of the first vehicles that were manufactured in chain, owned by one of the members of the Association.

The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo recognized the work of the owners of these vehicles to maintain and safeguard these jewels that are a prominent heritage of the automotive culture.

Luengo invited not to miss the exhibition on November 5, in an act that will inaugurate the atmosphere of the patron saint festivities of the town.
