The mayor José Miguel Luengo accompanied by the Councilor of Social Services Estíbaliz Masegosa signed this morning with the new parish priest of San Javier, Juan Prieto the renewal of the collaboration agreement between the City Council of San Javier and Caritas Parish of San Javier that will receive a total of 26,000 euros in support of emergency aid services developed by the charity in the locality.
Later, the agreement signed by the City Council with the Parkinson Mar Menor Association will be renewed this year, which will receive € 2,500 this year, 500 more than last year, as a contribution to the support provided by the association to persons affected by Parkinson's in the municipality.
Its president Genoveva Ortiz reported that the Association currently serves 20 users, from its headquarters, provided by the City Council, on the top floor of the Center for Seniors in Santiago de la Ribera where they provide physiotherapy, speech and neurology services on Mondays , Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 a.m.
The Association that also collects funds with beneficial activities prepares with the collaboration of the San Javier Theater Group a charity night with a theatrical performance that will take place on December 15 in the auditorium of the civic center "Prince of Asturias", Santiago de the Ribera.
