Alquibla Teatro will take "La Casa de Bernarda Alba" to the "Prince of Asturias" on Friday, November 10 (30/10/2017)

The Concajelía de Cultura has programmed the theatrical representation of the famous work of Federico García Lorca "The House of Bernarda Alba" by the Murcian company Alquibla Teatro that can be seen in the cultural center "Prince of Asturias", Santiago de la Ribera, Friday, November 10 at 9:30 p.m.

Antonio Saura directs this classic of the Spanish theater that Alquibla represents with resounding success for years, co-produced with the Teatro Circo de Murcia, which was nominated for the Max Theater Awards, category Best Revelation Show in 2013, included in the PLATEA program, Ministry of Culture, and recommended by LA RED, National Network of Theaters, Auditoriums, Circuits and Festivals of public ownership.

The work that Federico García Lorca wrote in 1936, although it was not released in Spain until 1964, subtitled by the author himself as "the drama of women of the peoples of Spain" confronts authority and freedom through the iron matriarchy of the widow Bernarda Alba. his five daughters.

Lola Escribano heads a cast with the presence of excellent actresses such as Lola Martínez, Esperanza Clares, Verónica Bermúdez, Toñi Olmedo, María Alarcón Allende García and Josefina García who give life to this rural drama to which Alquibla brings an existentialist vision of the tragedy through of the inner desire for freedom frustrated by external repression.

The Councilor for Culture David Martinez has said that this action is intended to break with the seasonality of theater in our town and take the performing arts to different corners of the same as the theater of the center "Prince of Asturias", home of the Amateur Theater Festival "Francisco Rubio", in which it is intended to continue programming periodically, theater, music or dance throughout the year ".

David Martinez also reported that "The House of Bernarda Alba" will have a morning session aimed at Secondary students of the Mar Menor region with which the Department of Culture aims to bring the work to students who study Lorca in the classroom to complete their training process from the practice, and at the same time to try to awaken the interest of young people for the theater.
