The annual concentration of classic vehicles of San Javier is consolidated in its third edition, held on Sunday at the Almansa park in the town where 123 vehicles were registered in the event that has tripled the number of registered with respect to 2016.
The vehicles, mostly from the region, also came from other parts of the region and neighboring provinces with the only requirement of having more than 25 years, to be considered classic, although most passed the age of 50, like a Ford T of 1912 that exceeded the century of life and that could be seen with mythical models of Porsche, Cadillac, Mercedes, the Citroen Shark, or the popular Mini and SEAT 600, among many others.
The Concentration is organized by the association "Classic Cars Mar Menor" with the collaboration of the City of San Javier, through the Department of Celebrations, and hosts vehicles of any brand what makes it more attractive to the public and the owners of this type of cars that take advantage of to make a day of coexistence and exchange.
The day began with a static exhibition of the vehicles so that the public could see them up close.
There was no lack of lunch crumbs and a route that filled the automotive history with the main roads of the municipality at the end of the morning.
The Concentration is celebrated from its beginnings in memory of Pedro Martínez Saura, a lover of classic cars, neighbor of San Javier and member of the convening association that is remembered each year with the presence of his family, in an event with the that both the association "Classic Cars Mar Menor" and the City of San Javier showed their commitment to continue strengthening it for the future.
