The City Council implements a new payment system for any municipal procedure through the Internet (15/11/2017)

The councilman of Finance Carlos Albaladejó presented today at the City of San Javier a new system of payment of taxes, settlements and municipal self-assessments through the Internet, through any electronic device, with the aim of "providing greater comfort and agility to the neighbors in the payment of any ".

The system, which is already in place, allows users to pay from a tax like the IBI to a penalty, from anywhere in the world for 24 hours a day, using a credit or debit card, from any entity and without any type of commission, through a payment gateway provided by Caixabank, which is accessed in the "Payment of taxes" window on the municipal website.

The operation can be completed if the user has the payment letter sent by ordinary or electronic mail to his home, without having to have the electronic certification.

The new payment system foresees a further step in its development so that the user can, with his electronic certification, pay the payment without previously having a payment card.

Carlos Albaladejo who was accompanied by the municipal treasurer, Teresa Aguilera and the director of banking institutions Caixabank, José Antonio Murcia, said it is "a step in the process initiated by the City of San Javier for total digitalization of the municipal Administration ".

Albaladejo highlighted the advantage that this new system offers taxpayers who do not reside in the municipality and was confident in its usefulness for the success of a similar system implemented in the municipal sports center where 50% of users perform all their procedures through the internet for four years.

The municipal treasurer recalled that users can also opt for other payment systems such as direct debit that offers a discount of 3% discount, or through the collaborating banks with the payment card.

There is also the "Payment on demand" that allows you to split the payment in six, four or two months, without additional cost.

The representative of Caixabank, José Antonio Murcia highlighted the convenience of payment through the Internet and showed his willingness to continue collaborating with the City Council in its process of technological improvement including citizen training to eliminate certain fears when operating through the Internet and contribute to a change of habit in this sense.
