The Local Committee for Children awards the First Gala Awards for Children and Adolescents of San Javier to the Scout group, the youth correspondents, the RafaPuede Foundation, the pediatrician Raquel Iniesta and the young musician Pedro Botella (20/11/2017)

The City of San Javier, a city declared as Child Friend, by UNICEF, celebrated the International Children's Day last Saturday with the First Gala of Children and Adolescents promoted by children and youth members of the Local Board of Children , held in the center "Prince of Asturias", Santiago de la Ribera.

The Gala, which was conducted by the Golosino Wizard, of Pupa Clown, was attended by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the president of Unicef ​​Murcia, Amparo Marzal, the general director of Family and Social Policies, Miriam Pérez, the general director of Youth, Fran Sánchez and the general director of Attention to the Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno.

The family audience that filled the auditorium of the center "Prince of Asturias", enjoyed the magic, humor and fun of Golosino Wizard and his assistants, the music of young students of the Conservatory, and attended the motivational talk offered by the young blogger and local youtuber, Kevin Mancojo.

The members of the Local Board of Children and Adolescents were responsible for deciding the recipients of the Awards given in this first Gala that went to the San Javier Scout Group, the Youth Correspondents program, the RafaPuede Foundation, and the Center's pediatrician of Health of Santiago de la Ribera, Raquel Iniesta, along with a young student of the Professional Conservatory of Music of San Javier, Pedro Botella.

In the same Gala was also awarded the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards granted by the Department of Education, with an individual allocation of 500 euros, to highlight the effort and improvement of the young students of the municipality.

The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo, who closed the event, reiterated the commitment of the City of San Javier as "Child Friendly City" to continue working to improve the living conditions of the youngest in the municipality, making them Participants in the social life of the municipality, and offered to the president of Unicef ​​in Murcia, the headquarters of San Javier to celebrate the National Meeting of Tables of Childhood and Adolescence.
