The sport turns with the 25N, International Day against Gender Violence, in San Javier (22/11/2017)

The sport will mark this year the celebration of the International Day against Gender Violence in San Javier with a program of activities that will begin on Saturday, November 25 at 10 am with the Lazo Race that will allocate all its proceeds to the violence prevention program of gender that the CAVI of San Javier develops.

The Councilor for Women and Equality, Estibaliza Masegosa presented this morning the commemorative program of 25 N that includes a Solidarity March with departure at 09: 30h from the municipal pavilion of La Manga whose participants will wear some fuchsia garment.

Clubs like the one with Archery, have organized a day of initiation for women, Saturday 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

or a baptism in Dragon Boat with the School of Canoeing, on Sunday 26 at 10 o'clock.

The women's sport will be protagonist with different basketball meetings, volleyball in the sports center of San Javier, where on Sunday 26 there will be a Seminar on Women and Basketball at 7pm in the auxiliary pavilion.

Career of the Tie against the Violence of Gender

The Race of the Bow that organizes the Track and Field Sport Team Club, with the sponsorship of Decathlon and the City council of San Javier will consist of 6 kilometers that will be able to be made running or walking, with exit at 10: 00h.

from the Decathlon esplanade, where at 09:30 h there will be non-competitive tests for children from 2 to 14 years old.

The test coordinator, Juan Antonio Gatón, explained that the route, in the shape of a loop, that will surround the School of Sports, will have the goal next to the new festive venue, in the El Pino polygon.

Before the awards ceremony, Mayor José Miguel Luengo will read an institutional manifesto against gender violence, the theme of the exhibition "Punto y Aparte" by students of the Bachelor of Arts, the IES "Ruiz de Alda", which will be exposed at the meeting point next to Decathlon on the Pinatar road.

Gatón was confident to reach the 300 participants last year, which are the numbers offered for sale, of which there are only 93. The price of registration will be 5 euros for those who walk and 7 for runners

The Councilor for Women and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa thanked the organizers of the Race for the full donation of their collection to the prevention of gender violence among young people in San Javier and recalled other actions related to the 25 N as the Microrrelatos Contest which is carried out in collaboration with the library and others that take place throughout the year such as the programs "La semilla", and "Toxic Relations", with Primary and Secondary students to work on effective equality through an education in values that contributes to eliminate and prevent this type of violence among our youth.
