The Museum of San Javier exhibits until December 30 a sample of the illustrator and designer Katarzyna Rogowicz with works inspired by the African continent and made for a book that has now gathered in this exhibition under the title of Hula Hula Hoop !.
The Councilor for Culture David Martínez inaugurated with Katarzyna Rogowicz the exhibition in which the Polish artist living in Murcia seeks to dialogue with her audience through artistic proposals that are completed with the final interpretation of the person who contemplates them.
Katarzyna Rogowicz, who has hung her works in canes occupying the center of the exhibition hall, forming a kind of labyrinth, has used different types of pigments and even organic materials in these works in which there is also the physical and emotional imprint of her son.
The mayor of Culture David Martínez praised the work of Katarzyna and announced the celebration of a guided tour of the exhibition by the artist who will explain and discuss his work with the audience, on Saturday, December 23 at 11am.
The exhibition of Katarzyna Rogowicz is the third held in San Javier in the regional program "Plan of Exhibition Spaces" promoted by the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia (ICA) to promote artists of the Region of Murcia and contribute to the quality cultural offer of the participating municipalities.
Katarzyna Rogowicz is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Murcia and graphic designer with specialization in illustration specialized in artistic fabric by the Popular University of Warsaw, Poland.
He has an extensive career recognized with several awards and has illustrated books for prestigious publishers such as Oxford and Pearson, Alhambra, and Everest, among others.
Several of its editions have been subsidized by the General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Culture.
