The festivity of San Blas, which takes place next Saturday, February 3, will fill the quiet place of the same name in Santiago de la Ribera during the whole weekend that will start on Friday night with a nightly evening as the main novelty as announced today by the Councilman of Celebrations Pedro López during the presentation of the San Blas Pilgrimage 2018.
From 9:00 p.m. the clubs and groups will concentrate on the pine forest of San Blas to celebrate the eve of the saint that on Saturday, February 3 will go out in procession, at 10 o'clock, from the church of Santiago Apóstol to its hermitage, where everything will remain the day accompanied thousands of pilgrims.
Upon the arrival of the Saint to the hermitage there will be a Huertana Mass, after which the title of Romero of the Year will be awarded to the General Air Academy, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of its creation.
The pilgrimage, of huertano character, will have a prize for the best huertana and best huertano in order to encourage the use of the typical Murcian clothing explained Pedro Lopez who was accompanied by Julia Gallut, pedáneo mayor of Santiago de la Ribera, Carmen Teruel representative of the commission of parties and the councilor of Parks and Gardens María Dolores Ruiz who announced the arrival of "In your park or mine" to San Blas coinciding with the inauguration of the playground next to the hermitage, on Friday, February 2 at from 5pm

The BlasRock 2018 festival, with the performance of Poncho K and four local groups, will start at 12 noon.
