Colonel Miguel Ivorra today collected the title of Romero of the Year awarded by the Brotherhood of San Blas to the General Air Academy on its 75th anniversary and that was given to him by the mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo at the end of the Huertana mass Celebrated at the arrival in pilgrimage of San Blas to his hermitage.
The Saint left from the church of Santiago Apóstol on the shoulders of the Brotherhood of San Blas in a pilgrimage that was attended by the Minister of Development Pedro Rivera who followed the Saint with the mayor, the colonel of the AGA and the rest of the Corporation municipal, along with other civil and military authorities and dozens of neighbors many of them dressed in the typical huertano costume.
There was no shortage of folkloric dances with the participation of the rondalla de Dolores de Pacheco along with members of the San Javier Choir and Dance group.
On arrival at the hermitage there was an orchard mass that gave way to a day of pilgrimage in the pine forest of San Blas where hundreds of pilgrims spend a day in which no one stops visiting the hermitage to ask San Blas health, "parrón" of, throat diseases.
The typical candy stands and "sanblases" and the fair enclose the place that tomorrow will be filled again on the day of the crumbs.
