The Councilor for Sports, Estibaliz Masegosa, the billiard player of San Javier, Juan David Zapata, and the president of the Billard Club San Javier, Francisco Jareño presented this morning at the City Hall of San Javier the National Open Billiards 3 Bands II Memorial Francisco Parrón which will be held in the halls of the civic center "Parque Almansa" of San Javier from February 12 to 18.
In the competition will take part 116 pool players from 12 Autonomous Communities that will play throughout the week to get a place in the final scheduled for Sunday 18 at 12:15 p.m.
The public will be able to admire the game of the participants, from 10am to 10pm, divided into four tables located in the same room, from where, also, it will be broadcast live on the internet at LaLiga 4Sports.
The Open is celebrated in memory of the one who was "the alma mater of the Billiard Club of San Javier for more than 20 years", recalled Juan David Zapata, a young billiard player who started in the Club and who has just added to his long list of titles ranked 15th in the World, achieved in Egypt last December.
On Saturday 17, during the official opening ceremony of the Open, scheduled at 5:00 pm before the final four, a commemorative plaque will be delivered to the widow of Francisco Parrón.
The semifinals will be played on Sunday at 10 o'clock and the final at 12:15 o'clock.
The president of the Billar Club of San Javir, Francisco Jareño showed his satisfaction for the success of participation, with 36 Murcia billiards and 80 from the rest of Spain.
Jareño thanked the collaboration of the City of San Javier, as well as the federations of regional and national billiards.
The Councilor for Sports Estíbaliz Masegosa thanked the work of the Billiard Club of San Javier and the creation of this Open "with which we can enjoy in San Javier the best 3-ball pool in Spain", and encouraged the public to go through the room from the center "Parque Almansa", of San Javier to see the championship up close.
