The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo has collected, within the framework of the National Convention of the PP in Seville, one of the prizes of the third edition of the contest "Projects and Good Municipal Practices 2018", convened by the Deputy Secretary of Regional Policy and Local National Popular Party and where they have been awarded a total of 23 municipalities throughout Spain.
Within the category of "Sustainable Cities" the San Javier City Council has been awarded the idea "Bank of Time-Circular Social Economy", to develop and strengthen volunteering, social participation and solidarity, by putting people in contact and to rescue from them the best they have: their time to help others. "
The mayor of San Javier has been proud of the consolidation of this initiative that has been running for 12 years and "that's why we wanted to put it in value," he said.
The prizes to the awarded works have been delivered this morning by the president of the Popular Party, Mariano Rajoy, the president of the Congress, Ana Pastor, and the president of the Senate, Pío García Escudero.
