Citizens demand the presence of a school nurse at the Joaquín Carrión de San Javier school (20/04/2018)

The orange training has presented an initiative in the Regional Assembly for the regional government to offer explanations for "the unjustifiable delay in the implementation of the school nursing project"

The regional deputy of Citizens Juan José Molina announced in the school Joaquin Carrion de San Javier that has presented an initiative in the Regional Assembly for the regional government to offer explanations for the "unjustifiable delay" in the implementation of the project of school nursing in the Region of Murcia.

During this act the councilor of the orange formation in the city of San Javier, María José García, has claimed the presence of a school nurse in the school Joaquín Carrión because it is the only one in the municipality that has an open classroom

Molina recalled that Ciudadanos has been trying for almost two years for the regional government to launch the school nursing project.

"It is not an expense but an investment in health.

When the project is launched, a health professional will be chosen who will be in the schools doing a comprehensive project of health, health control, healthy areas, advice to parents, addiction control, early detection of diseases, control of tests as obesity;

that is, a huge task that ultimately means more health, healthier generations ".

The deputy of the orange formation has indicated that the project was endowed economically for its implementation in the current school year, "but has not gone ahead because of the negligence of the regional government.

Hence, from Citizens we contribute three million euros in this year's budgets so that it will be launched in the current school year that will begin in September. "

Molina has lamented the neglect of the regional government.

"It is absolutely necessary that the work table in which you decide how the project is going to be, the hiring of those professionals and your profile ends before the next course begins.

Unfortunately we understand that the regional government does not have much intention to put this project into operation because for several months no meetings have been convened.

It seems that a blockade is taking place because the Ministry of Education blames the Ministry of Health, the Health Ministry does not say anything, and the big losers are the children. "

On the other hand, María José García considers it urgent to incorporate the school nurse to the Joaquín Carrión school as soon as possible "as it is a center with a high number of children with disabilities and who would need their services.

This school, together with the CEIP Our Lady of Loreto are the two reference centers in which they advise the parents of these children to enroll their children, as well as being the only school that has an open classroom. "
