UGT and CCOO visit San Javier in the information campaign of protests before the General Strike of September 29 (20/07/2010)

This morning, the secretaries general of the UGT and CCOO Murcia, Antonio Jiménez and Daniel Bueno, respectively, have visited the facilities of the City of San Javier which have had informal contacts with the workers who have explained the reasons which have led the General Strike on September 29.

Well Jiménez and material have been distributed explaining the strike as a joint manifesto in which they expressed an overwhelming rejection of workers to the policies of social cuts and removal of rights decreed by the Government on June 22 rapidly reducing a decline in social and labor rights.

Workers in the City of San Javier have known of the two union officials face the consequences for the labor market with this information and mobilization campaign since the UGT and CCOO is being carried out prior to the General Strike of 29 -S in order to appeal to the public and all sectors of society to adhere to the General Strike of 29-S against the measures approved by the State Government.

The Secretary General of UGT Murcia, Antonio Jiménez, has made an analysis of the employment situation in recent months and has referred to the reduction of salary of staff by 5%, measured against which hit the streets on 8 June in protest.

Jiménez officials explained the scope of these measures, how they are affecting and how they will in the future.

It has also encouraged to participate in the General Strike of 29-S for the Government not feel entitled and remove the measures taken.

The Secretary General of UGT Murcia "hopes that the general strike called for Wednesday, September 29 a success and well able to hold the measures adopted by the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero last June 22."

For his part, Secretary General of CCOO Murcia, Daniel Bueno said that "this labor reform, will ensure that virtually no difference between a temporary and permanent, because it will cost about the same fire him, despite acquired rights and seniority, as it supports so shameful dismissal. "

On Thursday in the information campaign Candido Mendez and Ignacio Fernández Toxo, Secretary General of UGT and CCOO at the national level, will be in Murcia, in support of meetings and information campaigns ahead of the General Strike on September 29.
