Santiago de la Ribera weekend hosts the largest concentration of Kitesurf in Spain (09/09/2010)

Santiago de la Ribera is home to the next weekend the highest concentration of kiteboarding from Spain will bring together about 400 people registered on the occasion of the Third Crossing Mar Menor and the 1 Cup of Spain Kiteboarding in the form "Racing Long Distance" held on 11 and 12 September at the camp Mar Menor, sponsored among others by the departments of Tourism and Youth of the City of San Javier.

Both the mayor and the councilman of Youth have agreed about that event is a "very attractive to also enjoy the family with activities for all" for what they have made a general invitation to attend as a registered or public.

Kite's journey began in 2008 with about thirty friends with Francisco Pardo at the forefront of the organization because of the importance that it acquired in 2009 was raised into a public sports event and in that year becoming the sporting event of this type more entries from Spain with a total of 250 participants.
