The awards Farmer, Sailor and Pirate of the Year, held on Friday November 26 at 21:30
in the hall of the municipality of San Javier and the subsequent opening of the tent with the opening festivities of the 16 barracks of the rocks, inaugurate an intensive program of festivities that will last for two weeks until Saturday 11 December.
Pepa García Mayor and Councilman of Celebration, Jesus Montesinos will be responsible for delivering the prizes awarded each year the festival committee and in this edition went to Antonio Carrasco as Farmer of the Year, Socaire Sailing School, honored as Sailor of the Year, and Jose Ballester as a Pirate 2010.
The winners will escort the rocks festive banners with the queen and ladies of the party and the authorities, tucked behind the components of the rocks that dress of peasants, sailors or pirates reminiscing, and the origins of the municipality when inhabitants of the area were looted by pirates.
The awards were created for that purpose vested in persons who have distinguished themselves in the social, agricultural and maritime.
After the awards ceremony, the procession will walk to the tent of Almansa park where the 16 booths will open cuisine which becomes a holiday attraction in the tent will have a meeting place for the next 15 days.
