An exhibition showing the miracle of technology convergence (28/01/2011)

The first deputy mayor, José Angel Noguera and office manager of La Caixa de San Javier, Alberto Montiel filed this morning show "ExpoCaixa Tecnorrevolución" organized by the Obra Social "La Caixa" in collaboration with the City of San Javier.

The exhibition displays an interactive applications of converging technologies in everyday life can be visited at Almansa Plaza, next to the music conservatory in San Javier until 8 February.

The campus is located in a large truck, it shows how enjoyable and educational advances have been achieved, and that are already part of our daily lives through a combination of nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology and communication, and cognitive science.

Visitors can check your level of relaxation using a tape that contains the brain waves, or check the operation of various robots depending on the environment as an example of the interaction between nanotechnology and robotics, that much progress has been in the automotive world , industry and medicine.

The exhibition includes a clarifying example of the application of nanotechnology in the field of medicine through a large touch screen where visitors can see how nanotechnology works compared with other drugs in cancer treatment.

Simulate the spread of a virus depending on city of origin and the measures taken by the latest advances in computer technology, is another application of the sample in which visitors can experience the weight of dozens of robotic eyes as part of a system capable of detecting faces and follow them precisely in the room.

Another module allows anyone to compose a song without musical knowledge through an electronic musical instrument simply moving objects on a light table.

The art thus joins the many fields, including medicine, who are already experiencing the revolution in converging technologies.

Both Councilman José Angel Noguera as the representative of La Caixa, Alberto Montiel has invited citizens of all ages to visit the show whose main purpose is to explain the everyday applications of technological advances and to encourage, particularly among the youth interest in science.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Thursday from 09:30 h to 13:30 h.

and 15:30 to 20:30.

Weekends and holidays open from 11:00 to 14:00

from 17:00 h to 20:00 h.

Daily guided tours will be at 19:00 pm

Monday to Friday and 12:00 and 18:00 during weekends and holidays.
