The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, received this morning the new director of the airport of San Javier, Pablo Melgar Lazarus.
In the meeting participated also his predecessor in office, Angela Navarro Falgas, and the director of the South Group Airports (AENA), Pedro Bendala Azcarate, the mayor of San Javier, Josefa García Hernández, and the Head of the Department of Public Works Peñarrubia Diego.
The new director of the airport of San Javier was born in Aguilafuente (Segovia), 44 years old and is an industrial engineer.
Until his appointment to the destination directed Gran Canaria airport.
He had previously worked in the Office of the Director of Alicante Airport and Works Department of Energy and the Directorate of Air Navigation Facilities AENA, where he developed various activities of systems design, drafting and construction management centers air traffic control, airports, radar stations, etc.
He also worked previously in the Spanish Electrical Network and was senior vice president of Power Systems, a company dedicated to such facilities.
In addition, he practiced teaching at the School of Industrial Engineers of Madrid.
The hitherto director of San Javier, Angel Navarro, is now leading the Lanzarote airport.
