The Third Week premieres Classic Nautical based in La Manga for boats superyachts (01/08/2011)

Councillor for Tourism and beaches of San Javier, Antonio Marcelo Martinez Murcia attended this morning in the presentation of the Third Week of Mar Menor Nautical Classic to be held from 1 to 7 August for the first time, opens headquarters in Puerto Tomas Maestre La Manga, in addition to the usual venue of Lo Pagan.

The presentation, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Murcia, attended by the Director General of Tourism, Enrique Ujaldón and director of the Nautical Week, Andrés Sánchez, as well as the mayor of Tourism of San Pedro del Pinatar, Antonio Garcia, and the president of the Federation of Murcia Vela, Pedro Román.

Port Tomás Maestre La Manga, home to one of the two Villages of the Week, and is dedicated to great lengths boats.

The mayor of Tourism, Antonio Marcelo Martinez stressed the importance of hosting an event in our town on the characteristics of the Nautical Week for the beauty of the participating vessels and the projection that has on the Mar Menor.

The III Marine Week will feature 50 ships Latinos, and 30 between classic and vintage boats.

The great attraction of this edition is the "Hispania", after 10 years of restoration in England, Palma de Mallorca Puerto de Santa Maria.

The ship was commissioned by King Alfonso XIII to compete in international regattas, designed by William Fife III built in the shipyards Karpard of Pasajes.
