Angel Corella Ballet presents with Castilla y León "Dance to Great Speed" an eclectic program of choreography 4 (18/08/2011)

Dance Festival comes to the company of Angel Correll, "Corella Ballet Castilla León" and the show "Dancing at high speed" with which he has achieved great critical and public success in his recent U.S. tour.

The program consists of four choreographies of which, "DGV", "large vitesse Dance" names the show.

Its origin is in the song composed by Michael Nyman, commissioned by the French company to inaugurate the TGV high-speed line between Paris and Lille.

Later, the young choreographer Christopher Wheeldon (England, 1973) adapted for the ballet to be premiered by the Royal Ballet of London.

Angel Corella closes its program with the choreography of great "strength and vitality" based on a network of railroads that occupies the stage and surprised by its originality.

The program includes a second work of Christopher Wheeldon "For 4" choreography "Death and the Maiden" by Schubert for four male dancers.

The aesthetics of the great choreographer Marius Petipa is present in "Raymonda Suite" with music by Alexander Glazunov, with which he opens the show.

A classic piece in which you can appreciate the technical capacity of the group of dancers behind it.

The program included classical dance with contemporary choreography is full of character with a dialogue between classical and flamenco dance to "Solea Pas de Deux", a choreography of the Seville María Pagés with original music by Ruben Lebaniegos and performed by Angel Corella and his sister, Carmen Corella, premiered with great success at City Center in New York last year.

The Corella Ballet Castilla y Leon is comprised of 26 dancers, top 5, including the brothers are Corella, first 4 solo, 5 soloists and the corps made up of 6 dancers and 6 dancers.

Angel Corella (1975) directed from its inception in 2008, Corella Ballet Castilla y Leon, who has been a huge boost for classical dance in Spain.

Angel Corella himself that formed with Moreno and Victor Ullate Karemia has been soloist and principal dancer with the Ballet Amercian.

It has also been the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the International Dance Competition in Paris, among other accolades.
