The Department of Public Service is conducting a series of works relating to the sidewalks on various streets of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera with a total investment of 329,457.33 Euros.
The Regional Employment and Training, SEF, 278,716.97 Euros subsidizes hiring, to carry out the works, a total of 19 people who were unemployed, 9 of them workers, 9 officers and 1 manager.
The municipality of San Javier brings the rest by way of materials.
Utilities Councilman Jose Miguel Luengo explained that the project calls for the replacement of sidewalks to address existing deficiencies, and adaptation to the rules of accessibility.
He explained that the Spanish Aviation Avenue is proceeding further underground pipeline to a power line that will serve the multipurpose building that is constructed in that way.
Luengo who visited the works in Aviation Avenue to determine the degree of their development, said the project started in September with a period of seven months, has allowed so far to renew the road in San Francisco Javier Avenue and streets on October 31, Joaquin Castejón, General Mola and Parque Almansa in San Javier.
In Santiago de la Ribera, the works are in progress in Canovas del Castillo, and have already completed in Querubina Jimenez, Bernal, Santa Teresa, San Juan, Virgin of Charity, Juan Ramon Jimenez, and Our Lady of Loreto Avenue street Charity, in Santiago de la Ribera.
Utilities Councilman Jose Miguel Luengo emphasized the good progress of work will continue until April 11 "so that if they continue apace may add other streets."
Luengo emphasized "the goodness of this project that improves the quality of life for our residents by improving our public infrastructure, while allowing the hiring of people who were unemployed."
