Official Reception of David Zapata after winning European Champion Billiards (01/03/2012)

Pastor Juan Martinez Mayor and Councillor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo received today in the City of San Javier to young local billiard, David Zapata, after winning Junior European champion three-cushion billiards in the championship held last weekend in Sicily, Italy.

David Zapata, 19 years old, was accompanied by President of the Federation of Billiards in the Region of Murcia, Jose Maria Quetglas and Francisco Montoya, president of the Center for High Performance "Infanta Cristina", Los Narejos, where Zapata meets its sixth year of strength as sportsman.

The Mayor, Juan Martinez gave David Zapata and Jose Maria Quetglas a badge of the municipality, after congratulating the local athlete "for this new title in addition to the victories to which he usually does."

Meanwhile Quetglas said "the conduct, training and work capacity" of David Zapata who predicted further success in the future.

Quetglas moved that from the new sports season, David Zapata will enter the category of professionals competing for the World Cup.

Before participating in Tournament Ciudad de Murcia, proof of national ranking, and the Absolute Spain Championships, to be held in May.

David Zapata could not hide his satisfaction with this new triumph in the European Championship in which he was "best possible" commented the young athlete who continues to add titles such as Spain Under 21 Champion who successfully defended last fall.

David Zapata combines her training in the CAR with the second degree course in Science of Physical Activity and Sport.
