Utilities Councilman Jose Miguel Luengo announced savings of up to 500,000 euros in the energy bill the City at the end of 2012 thanks to cost-saving measures and energy efficiency were launched since last October and is still increasing at throughout this exercise.

The mayor, José Miguel Luengo said that another of the actions will be on the replacement of 1,200 incandescent lights to LED technology by others, through a program under the IDEA, Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving of Energy, which participates City of San Javier.
Finally, another significant savings in electricity bills come through the improvement of electrical contracting.
In this regard, said Luengo, Municipal Technical Services have studied every municipal electrical supplies to optimize the best type of contract available.
