The House approved the tender to hire the service of refuse collection and street cleaning in the municipality of San Javier (08/03/2012)

The mayor of San Javier Pastor Juan Martinez and Council Member of Public Service, José Miguel Luengo presented this morning by the contract documents and technical specifications for the joint procurement of street cleaning and the collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of municipal solid waste in the municipality of San Javier, before it was approved by the plenary to vote in favor of the government team, against the socialist group, and the non-mixed group.

The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez Pastor said it was "a priority for this government team, and one of our election promises," and noted the importance of the future contract, both the best as you enter your amount and the novelty of adding garbage collection and street cleaning.

The initial price of the service amounts to € 5.2 million per year, 3.5 of the 1.6 garbage collection and street cleaning.

The service concession contract will last 10 years with a maximum extension of another 5.

Utilities Councilman Jose Miguel Luengo welcomed the upcoming hiring of a service "that worked poorly with extensions since 2008, when he beat the previous contract, signed in 1997."

Luengo explained the new list contains many of the points raised by the previous government team that failed to adopt the statement, but "logically with the improvements that we asked at the time and now we have introduced."

One of these improvements, the mayor explained, is a rigorous Quality Plan which requires the company planned performance and allows greater control of the service by the City over all years of the same.

Luengo said one of the main novelties of this contract including street cleaning.
