Coinciding with the World Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity held in 2012, the program of Social Participation and Volunteerism, look to the Senior Center to try to respond to an increasingly active demand by "investing in time "of their volunteer partners.
The program of Social Participation and Volunteering as part of the Time Bank, recently held a workshop with enormous success of laughter therapy at the Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera and another computer at the Senior Center of El Mirador, taught by people who join the Time Bank ready to offer their time and expertise.
The Time Bank, which depends on the council of Volunteering offers both workshops and group activities provided by its partners as the contact between individuals.
