The competition for the award of Day Care Service of Santiago de la Ribera has been deserted by not calling any company interested in taking it.
The service, which will not be affected, will move temporarily to the Day Care Center of San Javier, in the impossibility to extend the existing contract with Green Cross.
The Mayor along with other municipal officials will meet next week with workers to address the situation with them.
The lack of companies interested in the Service, together with the low occupancy of the center, which averaged around 50 percent, and the existence of places available in the Day Care Center of San Javier, which adds the change in form of financing of IMAS, which from now subsidized by occupied square, has motivated the decision to temporarily close facilities Day Care Center of Santiago de la Ribera, located on the top floor of the Senior Center, in this town .
The closure of the facility, which would reopen if circumstances change, no way affect the service as it is not deleted any place of care.
The service includes transportation home so that users who have already been informed of the situation by municipal representatives will be moved to downtown San Javier in place the center of Santiago de la Ribera.
Downtown San Javier which has enabled 20 squares of IMAS has 7 vacancies, and in process of being, so it may be welcome, as confirmed by the Department of Seniors, users of the center of Santiago de la Ribera, that only 8 of the 15 places subsidized by the IMAS by the center.
Of the 5 people that the City joined in this center to the IMAS, 3 which is occupied by not being dependent will have the home help service and telecare service.
Users have already been informed by the municipal authorities of this decision to be taken with the agreement of the Murcian Institute of Social Action.
Clarification:
The Home Care Service has nothing to do with the Day Care Center, and in normal operation since earlier this year it took a new company also took over Green Cross workers, who also ran this service.
The Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera is not related to the Day Care, so it works normally, as before.
