The municipal groups supported with a joint motion on the proposed CGPJ the judicial district of San Javier (14/05/2012)

The Plenum of the City of San Javier today approved unanimously by all political groups to join the city by the General Council of the Judiciary on the new map of judicial districts in the Region of Murcia in keeping the party of San Javier, without regrouping with any other judicial district of the Region

The motion read by the Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez popular groups, socialist and independent, agree to defend the position of the CGPJ which brings together the 11 judicial districts in the Region offering 5 games, including San Javier and only Cartagena remain as is.

The proposal must now be studied CGPJ by the High Court of Justice and which also will send the agreement of the full City Council of San Javier also be made with the Justice Committee of the Congress of Deputies.

In justifying the motion, filed an emergency at its regular meeting held today full, the mayor, Juan Martinez said the City Council considered and deemed necessary to maintain the judicial district of San Javier, which includes Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares San Javier, the number of population it serves, both fixed and fluctuating in high season.

The Mayor, John Smith also recalled the sale of municipal land by the municipality of San Javier to the Ministry of Defence for the construction of the present courthouse, which has 6 courts, and the current disposition to yield new land located next to the current building for expansion.

The motion includes the historic collaboration of all local authorities with the Ministry of Justice through the provision of premises to house the existing magistrates' courts in the judicial district.

The proposal CGPJ on a new map of judicial districts in the region makes the 11 judicial districts 5 current grouping Murcia, Molina de Segura, Mula and Caravaca, Cieza, Yecla, and Jumilla, Lorca and Totana, Cartagena and San Javier , the latter two being the only non-clustered, so it would remain as now.
