Santiago de la Ribera account from yesterday with a theater which opened with a performance by musician-Cultural Association of San Javier to a large audience which filled 300 seats of this new infrastructure will allow the town to have a continuous program .
This was stated by the mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, who recalled that the theater was enabled through the State Employment Fund and Local Sustainability in the previous legislature with a state investment of nearly € 300,000.
Martinez added that for its implementation, the City has invested € 60,000 in furniture and audiovisual equipment.
The room is located in the old hall of the Social Club building "Principe de Asturias", after a rehabilitation that hit the roof, facade, electrical, air conditioning, dressing rooms, and windows for greater isolation from the outside.
The complex boasts a lobby box office and prior to the room, equipped with 300 seats that can be relocated or removed.
The municipal contribution, in addition to furniture, lighting equipment includes the scenario that has a mechanical curtain.
The mayor of San Javier appreciated the work done by the Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García and Festivities, Gloria Cuenca, for the launch of the room to coincide with the festival of Santiago de la Ribera.
Juan Martinez said that "it was worth the effort because you can program Culture, now, shows and various activities throughout the year."
Juan Martinez recalled that the Social Club "Prince of Asturias" was inaugurated by Prince Felipe de Bourbon in 1988 with the former mayor, now deceased, Joseph Manzanares Ruiz and Carlos Collado as president of the Community.
