The genuine blues Keb 'Mo' and Ximo Tebar, leading the Jazz Ensemble share IVAM night Jazz San Javier (19/07/2012)

The singer, guitarist and songwriter Keb 'Mo', one of the leading representatives of contemporary blues, Jazz San Javier again where, in 2008, offered one of the best blues concerts in the history of the Festival.

Accompanied by six excellent musicians on stage, Keb 'Mo', the stage name of Kevin Moore returns with his new work "The Reflection" (2011), the last studio album recorded from "Suitcase" (2006), which the Keb 'Mo' defined as the result of all the influences throughout his career.

The winner of 3 Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Blues Album, is a master in the fusion of blues with other genres like rock, folk, jazz, R & B, soul and pop.

The godfather of the blues, Robert Johnson is one of the greatest influences of this musician, characteristic sound, which has been regarded as an outstanding representative of the Delta Blues, one of the first types of blues, which highlights the guitar, an instrument , which he always wears red, and which is an undisputed authority.

With 12 albums since their debut album "Rainmaker" (1980), Keb 'Mo' has performed hundreds of concerts worldwide, and has been a key figure in the series "Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues".

His compositions have been covered by artists as Joe Cocker, BB King, Robert Palmer, Buddy Guy and Tom Jones, among many others.

The Spanish presence in San Javier Jazz will come with the first part of the night with the Valencian guitarist, creator of the Mediterranean are, Ximo Tebar, a Spanish jazz musicians most international who returns to San Javier to present his latest professional project, IVAM Jazz Ensemble, which acts as artistic director.

Along with Ximo Tebar and Roque Martinez will play Jim Ridl (paino), Darryl Hall (bajjo), and Donald Edwards (drums).

Ximo Tebar started as a professional at age 17, treasures a restless and innovative musical career, which led to the acclaimed "Son Mediterraneo" (Wea 1992), the title of one of his albums of fusion, in addition to others such as "Home" or "Bewitched".

His most avant-garde has also been widely recognized and albums like "Eclipse" (Omix 2006) and "Steps" (Omix 2008), were rated as records of the year by the magazine All About Jazz New York.

"Celebrating Erik Satie" (2009) is his latest work in which he plays the French composer of contemporary jazz key.
