Concert: Quartet Luis Salinas-Travellin 'Brothers Big Band (26/07/2012)

The great Argentine guitarist and composer, Luis Salinas and blues band Biscay Travellin 'Brothers Big Band with 16 musicians on stage, sharing the penultimate night of Jazz San Javier

Argentine guitarist and composer Luis Salinas San Javier Jazz returns to where he was received with open arms from their participation in the first Festival in 1998.

Salinas, which symbolizes the essence of the Festival de Jazz de San Javier, in the words of its director, Alberto Nieto, has the Festival Award 2007, and sealed to remember their concert in the winter cycle "Soul Music" with the recording of the DVD "Live in San Luis Javier Salinas."

After 5 years, the brilliant guitarist, returns to San Javier in quartet formation accompanied by two musicians except as pianist José Reinoso and bassist Horacio Fumero, with Nicolas Correa on drums.

His virtuosity on guitar, improvisational ability, creativity, and passion contagious put into each performance, competing with his human qualities and proximity to the public, making it one of the most beloved artists and remembered at Jazz St. Javier.

Luis Salinas, who has played on tour with BB King and George Benson has said he is one of his favorite guitarists, is a master at both classical and electric guitar and an outstanding musician of Latin jazz, and popular music of his country.

In Spain recorded one of the 17 albums he has published since 1994, "Luis Salinas and friends in Spain" with musicians like Tomatito, Horacio Fumero, Oscar Giunta, Javier Colina, Jorge Bonell, Jorge Pardo and Perico Sambeat.

His latest album "No Time" (2010) returned to their particular musical universe after 4 years, and time devoted to Argentine folklore.

This new format is inspired by the modern big band Brian Setzer or Canadian Colin James, and the classic big band like Count Basie or Duke Ellington.
