Young people learn to grow in small spaces (25/10/2012)

The Councillor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa today introduced the workshop "Growing in tight" with which it responds to one of the proposals of young people in the council, the mayor explained.

Accompanied by the Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez, who works in the workshop, Estíbaliz Masegosa situate the course within the current fashion on crops at home or in unusual spaces and urban environments.

The workshop, which will give the association Gardens of the World, will consist of a theoretical session in the classroom for Youth, which will address ecological or conventional cultivation for subsistence.

The other sessions, practical, to be addressed in the school garden school Severo Ochoa of San Javier, try horticulture, cultivation itself, and aromatic and medicinal plants.

The sessions will be on Fridays and Saturdays from 9, 10, 16 and 17 November, from 17:00 h.

to 20:00 h.

Friday and from 09:30 h to 13:30 h.

Saturdays.

Environment Councillor, Celia Martinez added that this is an idea "great and necessary as we already have experience from the Environment for the progress of our school gardens."

Martinez added that young people will approach the culture "but with knowledge, fostering responsibility, and even recycling, recycling of many common objects in these crops."
