Tomorrow, Saturday November 3 concludes the Mar Menor Archaeological Seminars that have taken place during the last month in San Javier Museum organized by the Department of Culture.
The Roman site of the salt and the House Fontes will be the topics of the two papers in the morning.
The arqueólgo and coordinator of the conference, Alfredo Porrúa start at 10:00 h.
with the paper "The Roman site of the salt and its relation to the transformation of the natural environment in the northern sector of the Mar Menor".
Porrúa conducted, among others, the excavations of the Roman town of El Salero, located in the municipality of San Javier, on the border with the province of Alicante, as well as the town of La Raya.
He has also worked on international projects such as the excavation of the palace of the Umayyad citadel in Amman, Jordan.
Federico Fuentes Miralles address the second presentation: "The House Fontes. An example of spatiotemporal continuity of settlements of antiquity and the Middle Ages in the region of Mar Menor".
Sources Miralles has conducted numerous excavations throughout the Region as of the Roman town of El Salero or Roman site / Medieval House Fontes, who have Torre Pacheco located on the map of archaeological research.
