The mayor read the manifesto against institutional violence, after a minute's silence in the Plaza of Spain (26/11/2012)

The mayor of San Javier Juan Martínez Pastor has condemned gender violence against women and appealed to the prevention and education of the youngest in the family both as social institutional reading the manifesto against gender violence that has taken place this morning in the Plaza of Spain in San Javier.

The event, which was attended by many of the municipal corporation, began with a musical performance by a student of the Conservatory of San Javier and a minute of silence that have joined dozens of neighbors.

The Councillor for Women and Equality, Celia Martinez opened the floor for public readings and testimonies before delivery of plants which are presented to the public.

This was followed by a talk at the Town Hall auditorium under the title "Commandments of being a woman" by the psychologist CAVI of San Javier, Juan Fuentes.

The day's events end with the launch of "Bitch!"

by writer Julia Romero Murcia which includes the testimonies of 18 women victims of abuse, in the room Araceli Rubio civic center of Santiago de la Ribera.
