The exhibition "Fishermen" of the Department of Environment, work of photographer José Luis Villaescusa you can see from today until 24 February at the Municipal Museum "Jerónimo Molina" Jumilla.
The Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez and photographer José Luis Villaescusa attended yesterday in Jumilla to the presentation of the sample together with the Councillor for Culture, Tourism and Teatro Vico, Jumilla, Maria Dolores Fernandez Martinez, and the head of the Archives and Library, Jose Luis Gonzalez Olivares.
Maria Dolores Fernandez thanked the collaboration of the Department of Environment and offered to correspond with an exhibition like "Fishermen" reflects something of their own municipality, such as wine, so you could see in San Javier.
The Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez was pleased to present this exhibition in Jumilla, in the topic as related to our town, and the photographer ended the presentation with attendees commenting on the story of the making, including anecdotes, and with the video projection of a complete photographic work.
The exhibition brings alive the history of fishing in Santiago de la Ribera.
The photographs focus on 23 fishermen representatives, mostly from families with fishing tradition.
Photographs documentaries, endowed with great artistic value, are complemented by a catalog accompanying explanatory text and a video on the creation of photographic and documentary photographer.
