The Civil Guard dismantled a criminal group dedicated to burglary in San Javier (06/02/2013)

So far, eight have been clarified theft crimes in the urban area of the town

Have recovered stolen effects, like a motorcycle and appliances, which have been returned to their rightful owners

The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, under the "Plan against burglary", has developed the operation called "serene", which has resulted in the arrest of six members of a criminal group engaged in this type crime in San Javier.

So far as lack of analysis of all the information obtained, this organized gang authorship is accused of eight offenses of burglary committed in inner housing in San Javier.

In addition, researchers have recovered some of the stolen effects in housing, as a motorcycle and small appliances, that after being brought to justice, have been returned to their rightful owners.

Earlier this year, within the framework of "Plan against burglary," Civil Guard launched an investigation to clarify the commission of robberies in homes of San Javier, about events that had caused considerable alarm among the population.

Fruit of the comprehensive technical inspections carried out in the eye of the subject property theft and other inquiries related to them, the researchers established line of research on a group of young people from San Javier, known as habitual offenders of the town .

Modus operandi

The dismantled criminal group consisted of six youths, three of them minors.

Their goal was to obtain, through theft, effects for subsequent introduction into the illicit market.

To commit the robberies, the group previously studied the property owners, in order to avoid detection during their commission.

After ensuring that tenants were absent, the force used on doors and windows to access the interior and take effect as small appliances, cash, jewelry, clothing and, in one of the robberies, a motorcycle.

Finally, distributing the stolen effects to receptadores or markets in exchange for cash, often for a price much lower than the market, or psychotropic substances.

In some cases, the stolen items were exported to Morocco.

Having identified all the members of the band, the Meritorious established a search that culminated, in recent days, with the location and arrest of six people, including three children, on suspicion of burglary inside homes.

During the arrests agents recovered part of the stolen effects.

In the investigation, the Guardia Civil has managed to clear, so far, eight offenses of burglary inside homes in the town of San Javier.

Detainee

During the operation has proceeded to the arrest, on suspicion of crimes against property, six people, including three children, identified as:

- Spanish, age 19 and resident of San Javier.

- Spanish, age 19 and resident of San Javier.

- Moroccan 36-year resident of San Javier.

Three minors.

Detainees have numerous precedents for committing criminal acts before.

Effects recovered:

They have managed to recover various objects, including a motorcycle that the suspects had hidden in a storage room of the town.

Detainees and educated police inquiries have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 6 San Javier (Murcia) and the Office of Children of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

The operation is still open, not ruling out new actions and arrests.
