The AGA opens in a program of guided tours organized by the City of San Javier (24/05/2013)

A group of 50 residents of the municipality this morning visited the facilities of the General Air Academy in Santiago de la Ribera in the program of guided tours jointly organized the City of San Javier and the AGA to mark the 125th Anniversary Santiago de la Ribera.

The visits will be repeated on 31 May and 14 June 7 and want the public to know the facilities inside the military institution that has been so important in the development of the town.

In the first group there were foreigners and Spanish neighbors, some of whom have been recalled its military inside the military compound.

On this first visit I accompanied the mayor headman of Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut and Council of Trade, Pedro Lopez and Youth, Masegosa Estíbaliz and Academy staff guided them during their visit to the site where they were greeted by Colonel Academy, Emilio Gracia welcomed them.

Tours are conducted on Friday, to coincide with the solemn flag-raising military parade, held this day of the week, visitors have been able to see up close.

Later visited the museum where they keep AGA, among many things, the Spanish flag that astronaut Pedro Duque paced space.

The visit continued with a video explaining the history and daily operation of the General Academy before moving into the flight area where visitors could even access the inside of the aircraft used for the training of future pilots.

Those interested in participating in the upcoming visits scheduled for 31 May, June 7 and June 14 may request further information and registration at the offices of Tourism of the City of San Javier.
