The works called fitness for the prevention of odors in the pumping stations sewage in La Manga will be held during the month of June, according to the draft prepared by the City of San Javier and 237 491 Euros financed by the Autonomous Community Region of Murcia.
Public Served Councilman Jose Miguel Luengo explained that the works involve the installation of a compressor to inject pressurized air collectors sanitation drives, where accumulation is generated hydrogen sulfide, thus avoiding the accumulation of odor-causing gas.
Luengo emphasized the importance of these works, noting the collaboration of the Autonomous Community to solve a problem "that can not be repeated in La Manga which is the main regional tourist destination during the summer."
The works to be performed on all collectors, except No 1 does not generate this problem will be completed for the summer.
In relation to the work they are doing in La Manga on water and sanitation networks, Luengo added that in the coming days will be contracted works valves and boiler renovation of Station No. 5 to be held council with an investment of 185,000 euros.
These works are part of the Infrastructure Plan Water Sanitation and the Council launched in 2012, and in which it has already invested about 750,000 euros, the renovation of other pumping stations, which now joins the No. 5, so that the system will be operating an optimal situation.
