Some 1,300 people have participated so far in the tourist cruise boat on the Mar Menor which is held, for free, every second Saturday of each month leaving from the Port Tomas Maestre La Manga.
The visit, organized by the Tourist Office of La Manga, shared by the municipalities of San Javier and Cartagena, is part of the regional program of free guided tours held in the municipalities in Murcia eight months, organized by the Institute of Tourism and the Network of Tourist Offices in the Region of Murcia.
The boat trip along the Mar Menor has become one of the most successful so it was decided to expand during the fall and winter season originally scheduled six months ending in September.
The activity consists of a boat ride on the Mar Menor with the assistance of a technique that guides municipal tourism visit with explanations about the history, training and attractions of La Manga and Mar Menor.
The journey, which starts at 12:30 h.
from the Port Tomás Maestre, reaches the other shore of the Mar Menor, in Santiago de la Ribera and returns to La Manga, ending at the port, where several of the restaurants participating in the initiative with a special menu for the participants in the sightseeing, which are given a wristband to access the ferry.

Applicants will receive confirmation and information needed in the days prior to the tour.
The next outing will be on Saturday December 14.
Participants, who have shown a high degree of satisfaction with the development of this activity are mostly families from Murcia and Cartagena and other municipalities in the region.
Some group, and increasingly young people complete the quota of 140 participants who were grouped for each output.
Participants are also information on other visits in the area as the Interpretation Centre of Cabo de Palos.
