The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez said today that the company can not look the other way, while reading the manifest institutional International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, 25N, in San Javier was delayed until this morning at 12:00 h.
Accompanied by the Councillor for Equality, Celia Martinez, several councilors of the municipal corporation, the Mayor read the manifesto in the Plaza of Spain to dozens of women of various associations and audience.
The local women participated alluding to male violence readings, after a minute's silence for the victims, broken with a song performed by two professors of the Conservatory of Music in San Javier.
Juan Martinez said "our firm rejection" towards male violence and "our commitment to follow and understand the victims."
The mayor of San Javier, also noted that the government has the duty to accompany the long way in this society, focusing on prevention and training.
"Society no longer tolerates no way" sexist violence said the Mayor who said that are occurring achievements should encourage them to persevere in a fight that must happen to achieve full equality conditions between men and women as a way to eradicate any of violence.
"Out There," said the Mayor, and recalled that while 45 women have died in the hands of their partners so far this year, more women getting out of the situation of violence ever there.
