A total of 9 men and women today have received their diplomas after completing a course of cobbler which was held at the Center for Social Services City of San Javier, given by the association Abraham Project.

The course, 40 hours of training, with the collaboration of the Local Development Agency has contributed to relate what they learn to the world of work and self-employment.

The Director General of Pensions, Valuation and programs including the IMAS, Miguel Angel Miralles, and the Councillor for Social Services of San Javier, Francisca Naranjo were in charge of handing out diplomas to students, accompanied by the director of the Center for Social Services Alicia Balsalobre, and Secretary of Abraham Project, José María Chumillas.

Chumillas said the cobbler course is part of the socio-occupational courses Abraham Project has provided and will continue teaching in San Javier, for people with certain social vulnerability, in order to train them in a trade to facilitate their access to labor market.

The association Abraham Project maintains a cooperation agreement with the City of San Javier for waste collection in the town, complete with this type of courses offered in association said township, for free.

Currently new courses are designed to impart in San Javier where others have already made sewing, computer and audiovisual techniques.

Councillor for Social Services, Francisca Naranjo congratulated the students and thanked the collaboration of Abraham Project and of the Autonomous Community, which provides equipment that makes this type of course.

Naranjo guaranteed the urge to help your department and encouraged the students to continue learning in the new courses can call in order to improve their access to the labor market.

For his part, the representative of the IMAS, Miguel Angel Miranda thanked the work of both Abraham Project as the Department of Social Services and highlighted students as protagonists to accept and use the help that you can provide them from the authorities .
