The Theatre Festival and the San Javier Murcia Circus Theatre will co-produce "Chiefs" of Arniches with Alquibla Theatre (14/02/2014)

The International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance in San Javier and the Nuevo Teatro Circo Murcia unite for the first time to co-produce a stage mounting Alquibla Theatre to premiere next August during the 45th edition of the Festival of San Javier.

Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García, Councillor for Culture of Murcia, Rafael Sanchez, the director of the Teatro Circo, César Oliva and Hope Clark, Alquibla presented this morning at the Circus Theater project has agreed to the two institutions and that will stand the work "Chiefs" by Carlos Arniches, adapted by César Oliva and directed by Antonio Saura.

The assembly, which those responsible for not revealing details found in the initial phase, will not reach the Teatro Circo Murcia until January 2015, due to the now closed Murcia theater programming.

Inmaculada García was delighted with this project, "which coincides with the 45th anniversary of the Festival."

César Oliva was enthusiastic about the project thus implying co-production as the theatrical event, which intervene adapting the script of the play which first premiered in Madrid in 1920, just 94 years ago.
