The Municipal Museum of San Javier will be starting tomorrow of the 9 regional festival venues Views of Women held simultaneously across Spain, in order to give visibility to women in art.
The Department of Culture of the City of San Javier thought of the young high school students from IES Art "Ruiz de Alda" when fleshing exposure to house the local museum, and they were the ones who star in the sample that "myth" was selected with the topic.
Teachers and students did not hesitate and got down to work to shape the exhibition which opens tomorrow, Friday 7 March at 20:00 h.
and presented this morning in the city of San Javier, the Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García, coordinator of the sample, Juan Francisco Mirete, and Professor of IES "Ruiz de Alda," and photographer, Francisco Riquelme.
The works on display belong to about 25 students, who have come together under the name of "Hypatia" the last great scholar of antiquity, and have worked updating the feminine myth in digital photography, in different formats, and to a lesser extent drawing and watercolor, explained Francisco Riquelme.
The project involved teachers have 3 subjects and all the companions, and the boys have also participated in various stages in the production of works of their female colleagues.
Riquelme thanked for the invitation and support of the Department of Culture for this job "we saw not as an end but as a means to achieve greater involvement of the students and to see the importance of their work, beyond the micro-world the classroom. "
The exhibition coordinator, Juan Francisco Mirete explained that this initiative was intended to demonstrate the ability and talent of art school IES "Ruiz de Alda" to join this project, and reveal that the visibility of women in the art is smaller than that of men.
Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García thanked to the faculty and students of the Bachelor of Arts, with those who shared the enthusiasm for this project, and commended the work of young local artists, "the only non-professional artists to those been allowed to participate in this national festival, which totals over 400 306 creative venues in 15 regions. "
