The Department of Parks and Gardens has made a new phytosanitary treatment against the red palm weevil in all of the municipality in order to combat the effects of a pest, that despite some losses, control has been achieved while preserving most of the palm trees municipal inventory.

Councilman Parks and Gardens, Alfonso Samper emphasized the importance of continued vigilance against the red palm weevil with this kind of treatments that have been applied successfully in recent years.

Samper effort ensured its council to do everything possible to safeguard the municipal palms.
