El Mirador The school held yesterday in a special way the World Environment Day with an exhibition of bird boxes made by students from recycled material and a collective mural painting on environmental issues.

The Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Luengo yesterday visited the center for the work done by students who have been led by Pilar Rey-Pastor.

Luengo congratulated the school and the center responsible for the initiative and stressed the importance of raising awareness about the smaller the need to protect and respect the environment.

At activities yesterday to mark World Environment Day, as eco market, workshop and silk weaving, the manifesto read by the Mayor, Juan Martinez in Spain Square, and the photography contest, he added a storytelling session.

Children attended a storytelling session starring Sara Carpanta in the auditorium of the Department of Youth, told them several stories related to environmental issues.

Carpanta discovered them eleven uses that could give an empty tomato can, waking in children's imagination to get the best out of everyday objects.
